HI everyone...well it seems( luckily) i caught Peanut's yeast infection in time.

I just wanted to let others learn from me. Peanut did not rub, scratch her ears or give any signs of any discomfort whatsoever, even my VET was shocked hahhhaha He stated she has the sweetest personality he has ever come across.

Anyway, Peanut's ears are weekly cleaned out with vinegar and water however it looked like some "dark brown gunk" formed. Also the inside of her ear was reddish ...so i treated her with OTTOMAX 2 tmies a day, however her ears inside did go to pink but the brown stuff seemed to come back no matter how much we cleaned and treated them. There was NO Odor either.

NOW this was only in 4 days!!! I do know if a Yeast infection goes on too long it can even lead to surgery. I remember someone on the forum sharing this with their experience in the past.

So long story short, i am glad i ran to the vet today . We are continuing Ottomax and adding an ear flush daily . She'l be seen next week again. next week.

Oh yeah little miss princess PEANUT IS being SPAYED next MONDAY

Annmarie, good to hear Peanut's ear is on the mend! Lani is being spayed on Wednesday, you will have to let me know how it goes with Max when she comes home. Good thoughts and prayers for youa nd Peanut on Monday.

Lani will be 18 months old on the 25th. Luckily I'm off for the summer (and just "off"). I don't know how to keep her down with Toby in the picture, as you well know with Max. Neuter was easy for Toby, like nothing happened, spay I don't know??!!

Best wishes, Lisa, with Lani's surgery. We live in a tri-level and after Sugar was spayed they said 'no stairs' - yeah, right! I couldn't exactly lift my 70lb Lab, with steps everywhere! She did ok.

It might be easier to sequester Toby for hours at a time, and let Lani relax, huh? Than to keep Lani calm while Toby's around?

Maureen, I think you are right. We still crate them when we are gone or out of sight (can't trust them yet!) so I think we will crate them alot next week. We have steps into the house so she will have to climb some. My guess trying to carry a struggling dog would be worse!

PS are your chocolate boys spoken for yet? I hope so they are beautiful!

Thanks, Lisa!
YES! Our boys Roy and Benson are still here! I am surprised Benson hasn't been snatched up since he's so handsome.
( I am thinking you are a sucker for chocolate just like me )

Just this week I have had a similar issue: Fancy has 6wk old puppies that are actually eating DRY kibble, yet they, plus Sheba's puppies will attack Fancy to nurse, and she'll stand and let any of them nurse....so I have taken to restricting her time outside when the puppies are out playing - for her own sake! It's not fair, but when there are 7-10 of them, and one of her, and she's a softie for puppies, well, I am trying to help her. So that's where I got the idea for you.

Since you asked,  here's Benson and Roy:
