Why oh why...

I go to bed and check on the kids... Sandy is curled up in his bed on Annie's floor... check. Annie curled up on her bed... double check.

I curl up in my nice big queen size bed that I don't have to share with anyone.

I wake up in the morning feeling like there is a 30lb block sitting on my chest and I can barely breathe... and of course no blankets. Then I realize that there is a 7 year old curled up next to me (with all the blankets) and a dog sleeping across my back.

And of course none of us have any recollection of them coming IN to the room...

Oh my! Ha ha...  Hmmm...do doodles walk in their sleep?
Hummm, can we say bad dream? or maybe Sandy got cold and Anne decided it was your bed instead of hers...
HAHAHA...that is so funny!

Sometimes we let Dexter sleep at the foot of the bed between us...I'll usually wake up to find he's either 1) laying on my legs or 2) moved up to lay between us.
Nothin' says lovin' like little ones snuggled up to Mom! :D
Because they love you! :D (and trust you...isn't life grand with a beautiful daughter AND a Dood??)
OH how sweet Kristin!!!!
Enjoy those moments :D :D :D
I am SOOOO looking forward to Friday night, November 2nd, as I will blatantly disregard Guide Dog rules and let my sweet Pepper sleep in the bed with me for the night before she leaves for Guide Dog training!!! And when 4 year old Beck wakes up and comes and crawls in too, my life will be complete!!! Of course, then I'll shatter it all to hell when I take Pep to the training kennels that next afternoon.

Many many hugs to you and sweet Pepper... Enjoy that night!
Kathy too is a fan of the doodle wake up call. I get up each morning around five o'clock. A quick shower followed by a short walk with Marley, does his business and then we return to eat. When breakfast is done, I say lets go wake up mommy and Marley is off like a shot dashing to the closed bedroom door. He waits patiently, I open up the door and he runs in and jumps on the bed with calmness of stampeding herd of bison. Then its a licking kiss fest that muffles the sound of Kathy's never ending laughing. It is a sight that is just as fun for me as it is for her. An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but Kathy's Marley wake up call keeps the smile on my face!!
I remember at one time when all 3 of my kids and the cat would wind up in my king sized bed EVERY NIGHT...and if i got up and went to one of the kids beds, i'd still wake up with at least one kid and my cat hahahaa

I miss those days........kristin there are days i envy you :D
