We're watching a Great Pyrenees. He's been here for 2 days now and he still follows me every where. He's gotten better at snapping at Cinnamon, who by the way is very confused. He's been here many times before and has been very docile before. This is the first time he's been here with out his owners, though.

Last night I had enough. I let him have it after he went after Cin again. Didn't hit him, just made a lot of noise beating on the table, beat chairs on the floor, and yelling stop. He's been pretty good since, but I still am not trusting him. (He was so scared he peed the floor - thank God it was the tile!!)

Now Cinnamon is sticking like glue to me. But so is the GP. I can't move without moving one of them with my knee. AAGGHH!!!! And it's raining.

The kicker? Our usual dog sitting dog, Sarah, comes tomorrow. Maybe three will put me over the edge!!!

Oh and Dave is out of town for a family funeral which I couldn't attend because of the GP. (it's 600 miles away)

Sorry for the vent. Sometimes you've just got to get it out.

You poor thing! I'd tell ya to send Cinn on over to play with Dex, but she probably needs mommy right now. I had to giggle about the GP pottying at the wrath of Cinsmom. I'd have done the same if a big dog was messing with my Dex. (He'd probably have pooped by the time I got done with my warhoop)

I've found upsetting their routines is not good. Dex is adjusting well now to our new schedule. He's still underfoot all night while daddy's gone, but he will lay down and sleep now (out of his crate as of last night).

Hang in there. The big doggie will go home eventually and Cinnamon will have her house and her mommy back.

I can totally relate...I took care of my daughter's cat this past weekend. Tanner is used to his big lug of a cat, Humphrey (very mellow and sweet). Well Brinkley is not Humphrey  as Tanner found out. Three days of trying to keep them apart and I was so glad when my daughter got back to claim her  Sometimes it does feel good to vent :p

Today has been a better day for the GP. He's not going after Cinnamon any more, but he's been barking at any thing imagined. It has to be imagined, cause even Cinnamon doesn't get it! I'm no longer tripping over him, and Cin isn't my shadow anymore.

Dave's on his way home. He should be here about 9 tonight. :D :D :D :D

Goodness--I feel for you! We have a frequent dog visitor that Dakotagrew up with. even though he doesn't live with us, he takes the role of Alpha dog and will go after Dakota if he thinks Dakota is too close to his food or bone. My natural desire is to correct Sparky for going after Dakota, but I stop myself because they seem to work it out on their own. Dakota backs off and gives Sparky the space he demands.

I figured out the barking - it's when ever I leave the room he's in. He's not blocked in, he can follow me but he prefers to stand at the back door and bark now. I almost prefer the big white shadow!

When I went into my work room to work today, all I heard was barking. When I came out to check on him & Cin, he shut up and laid down.

I have him until Monday. Sarah comes Friday morn and will stay for a week. Pray for me this weekend!!!!!

PS: it's now supposed to rain the next 2 days. Can you say mud??

Still raining, but the GP has really calmed down since Sarah's been here. It seems he's forgotten all about Cinnamon and only has eyes for Sarah (good thing, no growls). I hear Sarah and Cin trying to play with the big lug following them downstairs. I'll try to get a pic, but it will be hard to get them to calm down enough.

Rain rain go away...!!
