Does anyone know what those random posts are that show up under general discussion and don't seem to have a meaning? I can usually tell from the title that it won't make sense. What is that?:???:

I think they are generated by bots. Similar to spam, they can take down a website by mass registrations all at the same time and other crappy things. I have a friend who runs an alternative news (the stuff the local paper won't print) website in our town and he has problems with the mass registration. They screw up his site every couple months. I think it is sad that someone does these things. My friend has adds on his site so he loses revenue when they mess with it.

Definitely bot things, I use to do admin work on another board and part of each day was finding them and banning them from the board. They mostly come from other countries and slam a board, they come in regular waves, it is a never ending job, so kudos to the person on this site that has to do all the clean up work.
