Kryczek is now 5 months old and about 3 weeks ago we decided to move him into the kitchen instead of the crate. After a couple days of being gated in with single gates at both entrances, he found he could escape by jumping the gate. So, we started double gating (one on top of the other). We figured that was no chance of him jumping 5 1/2 feet of gate. That worked great until yesterday...the little Houdini managed to push the bottom gate out and he wiggled his way over to freedom. My DH decided to leave him free as he didn't seem to have gotten into anything, not even the trash which was down. So, today was his first full day of total freedom and he did wonderful. No accidents. Only one piece of paper chewed. I am so proud of him. I did mention to DH that there is a chance he could "back slide", but we will cross that bridge when and if it comes. Cheers to freedom :)
