Sadie was driving me nutso today. I knew she needed to burn off some serious energy so I googled dog parks in our area.

I found a great one about 7 miles away that I never knew existed! It's four acres with a pond, etc. She LOVED it. We didn't even stay an hour...I didn't want her to over-do it...she's only six months old. She was running, swimming and going crazy with about 10 other dogs. Of course, after we got home, she zonked out. I think she's had her fun for a while.

No pictures as I literally found it on the computer and ran out the door!

isn't it great to see them having a blast and then coming home and passing out :)
we live within blocks of several dog parks and it's the way we start and end every day - makes for a very calm doodle!

it's a shame Rochester NY doesn't have dog parks but then again that's why many of us have homes with acreage and multiple dogs

but i'd love to go to a dog park as it sounds like so much fun. :D

Mommy keeps saying she wishes we had a dog park...
We don't even have m,any regular parks where I can go.

The other day the family went to play ball and a man yelled at me because I had to go really bad and I couldn't hold it. Daddy picked it up when I was done, but then I had to sit in the car because I wasn't allowed to be at that place...

We go to dog parks almost every day, I love them. And they're just small city parks, no grass even, let alone 4 acres and a pond. That sounds like heaven.

I wanted to post here about a couple of attacks at a local park Pixie experienced last week. I won't take over your post (it's such a happy one), but the attacks really brought home to me how closely I have to pay attention at the dog park, not just to Pixie, but to the other dogs too. Too many clueless owners.

But there is nothing more fun for me than sitting at the park, watching all the dogs play - and having a tired dog for the rest of the day!

Not that something couldn't happen here but it's a "member's only" type of dog park. Vet records have to be shown...you have to pay to get in and they make it clear that you're 100% responsible for what your dog does.
Hopefully people are a little more careful than at free, small, anyone can come type of off-leash places.
Again, a dog can get aggresive in any situation but I wasn't worried for a second at this one. People stayed in close proximity to their dogs and it was a wonderful experience.
To tell you the truth...I was more nervous at the doodle romp that I went to
Hopefully the next romp will be more relaxing for me as Sadie will be bigger.
