Coco plays with her water bowl. She attacks it so often that it seems her only goal is to make the biggest mess possible. Is this normal for a dog? Is it something she will grow out of, or something I will have to train her not to do?

oh, ok, thanks, thats a relief

I even got a new water bow that is suspended in a frame about 2 inches of the ground, but she managed to grab it and within 15 minutes the house was sprayed with water.

At the dog park many kind folks bring old coolers or large buckets to share with the cavorting canines. And it's usually the labs and the doodles who decide it tastes much better if both front paws are in there too!

Both my labs and my poodle just love the water. Their wading pool is rinsed and refilled twice a day because they're always standing in it and get it so filthy that I don't want them to have to drink mud. They don't seem to care, but it grosses me out. LOL

I have it placed so that both the labs can reach it full time and Moses goes out to play in it when ever he gets the urge.

Dan plays with his dish too!! He likes to put is paw in it and then PULL, so it slides under him and usually gets stopped by a back leg. Then he lays on top of it. I bought the most heavy duty ceramic dish I could find at petsmart, and he can't move that one very far b/c it weighs so much. Believe me he still tries though! :D

So it's a breed thing! I wondered why Chouette kept digging in her water bowl. I've never had a dog that did that before. At least she leaves the bowl in one place, but she scrabbles madly at the water inside of it.
