Unfortunately, I only have two arms and photos were not possible! I parked in a far off spot, so, I could get both doodles out. However, by the time I got Dexter out, I had cars on both sides of me and Kirby started to get excited. With leashed attached, Kirby is on his hind legs pulling because the car next to me had a small dog. He gets EXTREMELY excited when he sees other dogs, which doesn't bode well heading into a vets office filled to the brim!
We get to the sidewalk and Kirby is pulling one way (sees another dog), a call pulls up and asks "are they both standards", meanwhile Dex is molesting a Petsmart employee who was on her cigarette break. They were both on 8' leashes and at this point I'm trying to shorten Kirby's to a 2' leash for control.
Once in the office, all the people pretty much scattered. Holding Kirby at bay while Dex jumped on anyone that would have him. Getting they weighed was not easy. Things calmed down a lot once Leslie showed up.
I took them both for a walk earlier in the day and it went well (small amount of tangled doodles) until Kirby saw a husky. He goes crazy when he sees another dog. Dex was the same way in the beginning. Once we started going to the dog park, he calmed down on walks when we saw other dogs. He seems to understand that there is a place where he's allowed to play with other dogs. Kirby, with time, will learn that.
Both doodles were wiped last night.
