The Labradoodle is a cross between the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle which makes it not only one of the smartest and friendliest dog breeds out there, but one of the most attractive breeds as well! With their curly or wavy coats and their people-oriented personalities, Labradoodles are easily one of the most popular dog breeds in existence. If this isn't enough to convince you that this breed is worth considering, just look at all of the celebrities who own Labradoodles!

  1. Jennifer Aniston - Best known for her role as Rachel in the hit television series, Friends, Jennifer Aniston is the proud owner of a Labradoodle that was given to her as a gift by former husband Brad Pitt. In addition to being an actress and dog lover, Aniston is also a philanthropist, contributing to organizations like Doctors Without Borders and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
  2. Lance Bass - American pop singer and member of the boy band N'Sync, Lance Bass is an active philanthropist, giving to numerous charities throughout his career including The Lance Bass Foundation, the Child Welfare League of America, and the Brett Favre Fourward Mississippi Foundation - he is also a spokesman for PETA and he promotes animal adoption. Bass is the owner of a black Labradoodle
  3. Tiger Woods - Professional American golfer Tiger Woods is one of the highest-paid athletes in the world and he shares some of his wealth with the beneficiaries of the Tiger Woods Foundation and the Tiger Woods Learning Center. Woods is the owner of two Labradoodles named Yogi and Riley.
  4. Neil Young - A Canadian-born singer-songwriter, Neil Young is best known for songs like "Heart of Gold" and "Helpless". In addition to being a songwriter, Young also directed and produced a number of films including Journey Through the Past, Human Highway, and Philadelphia. Young is the loving owner of a Labradoodle named Carl.
  5. Christie Brinkley - An American model and actress, Christie Brinkley rose to fame in the 1970s after appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue three years running. Brinkley was the face of CoverGirl for twenty-five years and she has appeared on over 500 magazine covers throughout the course of her career. Brinkley is the owner of a Labradoodle named Maple Sugar - she was given this name because she is the "sweetest dog in the world".
  6. Dustin Brown - Right winger for the Los Angeles Kings, Dustin Brown is consistently ranked among NHL leaders for his hits and the number of penalties drawn. In 2011, Brown won the NHL Foundation Player Award and he won a silver medal as the alternate captain of the U.S. national team at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia. Brown owns a chocolate Labradoodle named Milo.

The fact that so many celebrities are fans of the Labradoodle breed should help to convince you of this breed's merits. Not only are Labradoodles friendly and full of life, but they are a beautiful breed as well. Any family would be lucky to have one of these wonderful dogs!
