My sister and her family came in from Charlotte this morning, along with Tyke's cousin, Shoney. Shoney came from Birdwalk Farm in Tennessee, just like Tyke. He is actually, a giant cockapoo. And I do mean GIANT - he weighs around 75 lbs! Tyke was a little afraid at first because he's so much bigger than she is, but after a few minutes she was chasing HIM around the yard. Here's a "family portrait" or twowith me, Pam, and her boys with our dogs.

And here's a video of Tyke "attacking" her cousin Reagan! I think she will sleep well this afternoon!

And one more of Shoney and Tyke! (Reagan gets the prize for finally wearing Tyke out!!)

Oh what fun....It is great to see you. Looks like it is warm there. It was 19 when we went for our walk this AM.

I will try to take some pics at my sons in the canyon when we go for dinner. Hopefully it won't be dark by then.

Happy Thanksgiving our friends in Walterboro

They raise cockapoos and labradoodles at Birdwalk Farm (Tyke and Shoney both came from there!) I think one of those labradoodles must have had a secret date with Shoney's mom - I have never seen a cockapoo that big in my life! He has a very "doodle" attitude as well!

We know his mom was a standard poodle, and know who his father was supposed to be - Shoney was even much bigger than his littermates! We usually just tell people he is a labradoodle - much easier to explain!!!

It was a bit of a surprise - this is what they brought home....

AND THIS IS SHONEY NOW!!

The breeder knew he was going to be much bigger than the other puppies from his litter, which were mostly 35-40lb range, but even she was surprised at how MUCH bigger he was! He is a big teddy bear too! In fact, Shoney turned out to be such a great dog, when I started looking for a labradoodle and found out that Birdwalk bred a limited number of labradoodles, I went straight to them and put my name on the list! If it weren't for Shoney, I wouldn't have gotten Tyke!!
