Gravy, Annie??? My DH lives and dies for gravy. I'm sure mine would not measure up to your mom's--I don't know the first thing about making gravy with a rue (I even had to look up the spelling so as not cause any Monday morning giggles for our forums many grammer teachers!). My best effort includes a cornstarch and water mix!

And you know what? I can never get over how big Dakota really is; and yes, the kids were at first intimadate by his size as they have not seen him fully grown (we usually wind up at their house minus Dakota). But they quickly found out--especially the littlest--what a social clown Dakota really is! Now I can only imaging how they'd react to a Doodle that really is BIG--of course, Denver comes to mind!!!

Looks like a great time!! We're having Thanksgiving saturday because of my work schedule. It'll be 2 of my brother's, my sister-in-law and my other brothers life mate and the doods. This is the first Thanksgiving without my Mother. It won't show in the food....loved her dearly, but her cooking.... She did make good gravy though!

I love the family photos. Thanksgiving is such a special time. I too lost my mother and it was around Thanksgiving in 1980. I was 15 and she was 34. Still is hard after all these years. Love your parents if you gottem'

Oh my! Such young ages. It's always hard and it's always very sad when we loose our parents, but not to slight your mother's very young age, but 15 is such a challenging age anyway.

I lost my father when he was 41 and I was 5 which was much harder on my mother than me, I think, as she tried to fill the role of mother and father . . . Even then, I relied on my dog to help me through. At that time it was a wonderful Pekinese name Teddy. He was the greatest. I got two Pekes trying to replace him, but neither came close!
