a little concerned..but befor i really get worried..

last night while giving Toby his goodnight hug i felt
a soft lump under his left side..it was about an inch
long and soft..anyone know what it could be?

Sabrina had a lump and her s was determined to be
a infected oil gland..but, Toby s is soft..and he s not
experiencing any pain or discomfort..

I have a friend with a chowchow that has something like this - the biopsy showed that they are benign "fatty tumors" and not something to worry about, but I would get it checked out to be sure.

Our 16 year old pointer has these soft lumps....they are fatty tumors...our vet say they pose no harm.....she has had them for years.....its too risky to try to remove them because of her age

just got back from the vet..they withdrew some blood and and check out the what was in there..

the result s were negative..that it was a tumor..based on the type of cells
they found..it was likely Toby was healing from some kinda bug bite
or old injury..and eventually the fluid would be absorbed back into
his system..

all that worry for nothing.. but, i really thank you for your caring
comments..

I understand your concern. Boyd has had two cysts and whenever they hear "lump" they want me to bring him in "right away!" You are a good parent!!

i also mentioned the soft poo as well.. :lol: i was told that if there are no
parasite s present..then it s possible the food is moving thru his system to
fast and not being absorbed..

a suggested solution would be to feed less at each feeding and add
an additional feeding time..
