Quin is a [small-ish] medium-size multi-gen. The breeder told us that the litter was "smaller mediums" and she wrote "mini / medium" on the bill of sale. I note that he's a multi-gen becuase I assume there is more predictability of size (as well as other characteristics) in their litters than in those of the F1s and F1Bs. Is this true? At any rate, at 16 weeks Quin was 17 pounds. The breeder projectd he'd be 35-40 pounds when full grown and seems on track. He was around 8 ppunds when we got him at 11 weeks. His vet says he's thin - but not too; that it is consistent with the "breed." (BTW, Quin seems to not eat as much as the charts on the bag indicate he should - I think he doesn't loooove his food. But, he is happy, energetic and growing well.) Hope this helps.

size

My vet says the same thing about Science Diet- and refuses to promote
it in anyway. My female Doodle[Reagan] weighed over 50lbs at 4 months-
and now stands at 106lbs. She is a big girl! I have a new little boy Doodle
[Lincoln] He is almost 4 months old, and he weighs close to 50lbs. I think
he is going to be a giant. His paws are the size of horse hooves!
My vet wants to change his food because he is concerned with Lincoln
growing to fast - and problems with joints later in life. Has anybody ever
heard of this before - and whats a good food to switch to?

I don't know anything about Dora parents. She was very sick when I got her a lot of you remember the time we had getting her back on track. Dora is a little over 5 months now and she i s 29 pounds. The vet said that she would be around 45 pounds full grown. I do remember that she was like 14 pounds at a little over 3 months and then almost doubled her weight at 5 months. She eats eukanuba. That is what she was on at the pet store and the vet said that it was good food. Since she broke her tooth and lost baby teeth, I got some of the bits and gravy to put in her food to soften it up. That helped a lot with her eating for a while.

Large Labradoodle

I have a F1B? I think I do...I wrote to the breeder, and his mother was a 60LB Labradoodle, and his father was a "Over 70lb" Full Poodle.

The bottom line is...Benji is huge. He's just over 8 months old, and already 81 lbs. We've been feeding him "Large Breed Puppy" food consistently to make sure he DOESN'T grow too fast, but apparantly, it had little effect ;). He's got a great personality though...

Does anyone know what the LIMIT is on Labradoodles? How big can they get?
