I think that is a bit small for a 4 month old, but mine are big LD's so I am not sure. Fozzie was 42 pounds at 4 months and Phantom was about 36. He might just be on the smaller side.

He could very well be a mini. Some people have said that they had smaller doodles, and they matured to be around 50 pounds or so. That is I think considered a mini or a medium, and some labs are quite small.

My moms LD is very tall, but has the poodle build and he weighs about 65 pounds. His sister star weighs in at 75 pounds, and she has the lab build. She is much shorter than her brother.
