We are off next week to South Carolina, taking my daughter who is a first grade teacher for a much needed break. We are going to the coast near where we will be retiring in 2 years.

Tanner and Humphrey plus my daughter's cat and dog will be cared for at our house by a pet/house sitter. She has 2 labs and will bring them to romp with Tanner. It will be interesting to see how Tanner is after being with somone else for a week.

Needless to say I am anxious about leaving him. Tim says he will be just fine and the sitter has told me I can call her every day...... I can't remember feeling like this when I left my kids. At 8 months now, he is starting to be a bit more independent and to have his own ideas about things.

Also, my husband says I have to leave computer at home so I really will be in total doodle withdrawl

Not to worry....we certainly cannot afford property on the coast...we are moving to a small (I mean tiny) town called Walterboro...about 45 minutes from the coast and the hurricanes and rising tides. We will live close to the great swamp.....snakes...aligators. Tim tells me that it is safe since we won't have a pool to attract them. :?

Tim wants to get back to working with "Save the Turtles"..he is from Charleston area...thus, the move to Walterboro. My intention is to just enjoy Tanner and not having to get dressed for work

Enjoy! Believe me, you will do far worse (at being lonesome) than your dog! LOL
And, you will be remembered! So, relax, enjoy...and know that you have a loyal friend waiting for you to come home.
Maybe you and your husband can wear a T-shirt around for several days without washing it...no really...maybe sleep in it...and leave it for Tanner so he doesn't miss you too much.
