Has anyone's dog gotten sick from raw meat juice? Shadow got into the trash again (I know you are all shocked) and was trying to eat the absorbent insert (the meat Kotex as I call it) from a package of pork chops I cooked for dinner. Later that night she had evil diarrhea and was just feeling puny. I was going to call the vet but today she is fine. I don't know if the meat juice made her sick or if she was just feeling off.

 that is a good one, never thought to call that name. No, I don't think so.I do RAW days sometimes, but then do not give kibbles that day and mix meat and bones. You cooked that day so that was fresh. could be that "RAW" and kibbles didn't mix together well, so that could be the result. Or maybe she found something outside that you didn't see. if she is fine today, leave it, we all have bad days once in awhile:wink:

I agree with Marnie - the chemicals in that absorbent 'pad' are probably what would have made her sick. My dogs eat raw every day and they have never been sick. We don't give them pork every day, but they have eaten it before with no ill effects.

My best guess would be that she got some of that chemical kotex into her body and got a little ill from that. OR - if the pork was one of those 'preseasoned' deals - sometimes they use a sodium filler to plump the meat - and that could have done it too.

If she is feeling better today, I wouldn't worry too much if she's back to herself again.

I am thinking of buying a Juicer to do a Juices. Is the Omega a good juicer to try? Like the: VRT350W Juicer
I read some juicers leave some fiber but remove most of the pulp. Is there a juicer I can also have in my car that's good or transport?
I know there are low and high speed and vertical and horizontal juicers. Someone told me to blend the kale with water for juicing instead. What do you think of that?
