You have it?? Very long....
Oh my - what type of test did you do? I had to be tested in college due to working in a day care facility, however all of the staff tested negitive due to the fact that we were all adults and washed our hands. Did you not have access to water after you would clean your puppy up? I am very surprised we have talked to numerous vets and doctors because we too have had puppies with giardia and I wanted to make sure that my 4 children would not be at risk and with simple hygene rules in place we have never had any problems (I stress simple due to the fact that my youngest child was only 4 at the time and she is around puppies 24/7).
I am so sorry that you and your family have had to go through thus, but I would strongly recomend getting a 2nd test due to the fact that I am sure that you must have cleaned yourself before putting your hands in your mouth or food, you would not have gotten this unless you had an extreme amount of feces on you - just touching the puppy fur and then not washing would not have given you this unless he was covered in feces.
Hopefully your breeder will give you the cost of medication - however I do believe that most breeders will not pay for office visits - it should be in their contract as to their stand on this (in fact I just talked to a breeder last night and they do not pay for albon, metro.... due to the fact that it can be brought on by stress - so unfortuntly it could be even worse).
I do not know the breeder that you bought your puppy from, however did you get references and research them before you bought your baby doodle?
Good luck!
Holly
