We had the same problem with Cooper when he was younger (3-4 months). Is has lessened greatly,although he does still bother my 7 year old sometimes. I do think it's the dominance issue, so I try to have my son give him sit/down commands several times a day (treating afterward), and when possible I have him be the one to let Cooper outside. We also went through a jumping up phase, and with that we would give NO attention - not even a push or scolding - just turn or walk away. That seems to work good for us.
