re: 'debarking' - my understanding is that they strip the vocal chords, leaving them so that there isn't any real volume to the barking, or noise they make. I've heard of breeders doing it because of complaining neighbors. :roll: As if family dogs don't bark too, in a neighborhood!

Michael, you're off to a GREAT start, and especially with including the links to research about de-barking. One thing that stuck out IMMEDIATELY tho - having grown up in MI (Michigan) was the state abbrev. should be MN not MI.
