I adopted a Labradoodle today from the Humane Society. I had never heard of this breed before and had picked this dog out for adoption even before they told me his breed. I thought he was just a big, beautiful, shaggy, loveable mutt. No offence intended to Mutts :D

After reading some web sites and skimming this forum I realize just what a great breed Labradoodles are and how lucky I was to adopt Labatt.

I hope to come back with some wonderful stories about my new best friend.

Congratulations!!! Did you get him in Westland, MI?? He was on the poomix rescue site, but had no picture.
Yeah, that's him! He met some of the extended family tonight, was very well behaved and everybody loved him. He and my Bro-in-law's Chihuahua had a blast running around the yard. A funny coincidence the Chihuahua's name is Budweiser and I happen to adopt a dog named Labatt. I guess we'll have to drink to that

Forgot to say that posting pics is easy. You just go to the photo gallery
http://labradoodle-dogs.net/gallery/
clcik upload and make sure your photo is no bigger than 640x480, and that is as simple as it sounds. To post a picture with your text you would go to a photo sharing place like photobucket and upload a pic there, and then copy the url and paste from the IMG line. Can't wait to see the pics!!
Thanks for the help. I posted the pics :D

Yes, actually I am. I update the labradoodle and goldendoodle section of the website on a daily basis, and the adopted section as well. Here is my LD that I rescued last July, and my moms.

They were a brother and sister in a shelter in Illinis.
They are beautiful. Props to you for your good work with the rescues.

And let me say thanks to Labatt's previous owners and that I hope they read this site. I can only imaging how tough it was to give him up but he is in a loving family and he has settled right in. It is obvious that they spent much time training Labatt. He is completly house trained and a true gentleman. This morning was the first time we got to go on a long walk and I couldn't believe how easy it was. He heeled like a champ and didn't once pull on the leash. Today he gets to meet more of the extended family who I'm sure will love him just as much as the rest of us do.
