I am soooo downtrodden with the events of my life recently and now this.
We took Bogie to a friend's yesterday for dinner. She insisted that I let Bogie have run of the house. Me...the worrier.....tried to keep up with him running around a 3000 SQFT house with three cats.
I kept finding cat toys everywhere and kept taking them away from him.......you know........those little cat toys?
Well...lo and behold, at about 2:30 AM he started vomiting violently and had some blood in it too.
We rushed him to ER where they found an object in his stomach.
He may need surgery if they can't scope it out.
We're waiting for the vet to call & tell us exactly what they will do. He's alone there on IV's waiting.
If it's a scope it'll be around $2,000.........surgery...........up to $4,000. That's okay..........just MAKE HIM WELL!
I feel sooooooooooooo awful! I want to cry but I feel I've run out of tears.
I he has to have surgery, I hope they can neuter him at the same time. This is so overwhelming!
Thanks for listening.

Oh, Linda, I'm so sorry. I'd be a mess if something like that was going on with one of my babies, but you should be greatful for his vomitting. It's good that you got him to a doctor so quickly. I have to think that this is fairly common and that the vet knows exactly how to make sure he's back to his old self in no time.

I'm thinking of you and baby-Bogie.

Bogart is one sick puppy.
He either has food poisoning, got into some sort of cleaning solution.......God only knows.
His stomach is extremely bad and his espophagus. Stomach is ulcerated.
The foreign object they saw in the xray is a blood clot.
Vet says he's in very bad shape.
He'll be in the ER indefinitely until the vomiting stops and he's able to eat. Vet said 2-5 days.
I have NO idea what could've happened. We do have a bucket downstairs that had some bleach and Murphy's oil soap in it. He snuck downstairs yesterday and may have drank some? But why would it take over 24 hours or so to get this bad.
I'm sooooo scared!!
