After many days of "soft serve" poop and advice from Nancy and others I dropped off a fecal test at the vets. Apparently he was negative for worms but when I told him about the loose stool situation he said he's do a further test. The pop tested positive for Flatellates (sp). He Rx'd Metronidazole. Has anyone else's pups tested positive for this?
I know it's not serious, bit I'll feel better when Dekkers' poops are easier to pick up and he's right as rain!

Crikey Meg, no I didn't get any warnings of side effects from the Vet, they look pretty awful...Mmmmm. I did run it by Steve (Nancy's Hubby at Doodlesville) he's going to get back to me.
Dekker seems fine crazy as ever, running around with his toys.
Thanks for responding.....

Metronidazole is a medicine used also to aid in calming down the intestines. which is usually prescribed for 7 days of treatment.

what is the lesser of 2 evils? all meds have pros and cons

You can add 1 teaspoon of canned pumpkin to the food too.
