I am trying to convince my mom to let me get a labradoodle. However, she works a lot and I am at school. My mom will probably be home around one on some days and will be able to let the dog out, but other days I will not be home until 3:20. A labradoodle is the only dog my mom will consider getting. It would be baby gated up in our kitchen/dining room, which is hardwood and half of our main floor. We have a hound mix right now, and she does fine with everything. They would have toys in there, and I would be able to take them for long walks before and after school. Would this be OK?

Hello! Labradoodles are definitely a needy breed of dog. In my experience, if a labradoodle doesn't receive enough attention they take out their boredom on your furniture. As long as you feel like you and your mom can tire them out before/after school, I don't see any problem with it!
