Went over to the in-laws for Easter and since they have 3 little dogs we decided to put the Doodle boys in the yard. We blocked off the back part where we didnt want them to go. Came outside when we couldnt see Olex on the side of the house. Now this could only happen cause Olex knew he just got a bath, right?

Now this is a little pond that my mother-n-law has not kept up on in a long time. Very, very dirty, and believe it or not the fish in it are still alive. Now my pretty smelling man smells like a old dirty fishtank.

Bahahahahh
I was afraid to ask what the heck was in the water
But I understand dogs don't care. Denver would jump into every
filthy ditch he comes across, but we do not let him as they may have
rats or who knows. Least you know it is just a dirty fish pond.

my trystan jumped a fence to get into a pond just about that size I was SO MAD!!! this came a day after he went to the woods at my moms and found or made a mud puddle and rolled in it!!! He had to get a bath at my moms before I could let him in my car! I wish I could have gotten pictures but they wouldnt have been quite as animated as above though I assure you he was equally as proud of himself!!

Im glad Olex is able to entertain. I was very upset when i saw him in the pond. Not only at him but turned around and was mad at hubby as well cause I told him to block off the back. I know doodles are fond of water but i have never seen a dog so into water as Olex is. When i bathe Austin he looks like im killing him the whole time, Olex on the other hand is waiting next to the tub begging for his bath. Olex gets into water and does head dives, any other people have doodles who do that? Never seen a dog who loves to put his whole head under water. It all started when I bought them a kiddie pool for the front porch. Now I cant even let Olex on the porch unless Im willing for him to get wet. First place he runs to is the pool no matter if its 90 degrees out or 30 degrees outside. I guess it wouldnt be as bad if doodles didnt have sponge fur. I swear their fur can hold gallons of water. Oh yeah and where do you think they like to dry off? The couch of course. Its even worse if Austin gets wet he has thick wool hair and takes about 3-4 hours to fully dry.

But then after driving me nuts with an hour or two of the "im all wet hypers" I get to enjoy the loving moments!!!!!

and yes I have had poodles that I had to pick up my kids pool everytime they used it because they would go in and get soaked and we had a doggy door - so surprise! and they would dive whole head under for toys laying on the bottom.

my doodles love swimming in the pocd after the smart teasing ducks :)
or we throw bumpers for them (the lab eats the bumpers - not a good retriever!!)
