Well, the 1st Phoenix Doodle Romp was a blast! We had 10 doodles in total. There were 4 goldendoodles and 6 labradoodles. It was hot - about 102 degrees in the shade - but the dogs had a blast. It was so fabulous meeting the other owners and talking about discussion boards, and breeders, and groomers, and training, and everything else doodle!! We hope to gather again... perhaps before a year goes by but after the hot summer. I hope everyone who attended had as much fun as we did! Here are some pics from the romp. My camera is not too hot and shooting excited doodles is mighty difficult!

Hi Brooke,
Actually it is easier to organize one of these things than I would have thought! I just kind of picked a park, picked a date and posted on three doodle forums and a doodle romp happened! I didn't have tons of things planned but it was fine that way because the dogs themselves are so amusing that you really don't need any formal plans! You should give it a try! It is a blast!
Well I could try....I live in upstate NY, near the Canadian border. Not a lot of people around here. Infact, when I was at PetsMart last week I was informed Leno was probably the first Labradoodle to have visited the store. So he might be the only one around here. Im about 3 hours from Albany, which is a farely big city so maybe I'll find other owners in that area!!
Congratulations!! You had a fine romp! Great job, Stacy...thanks so much for including a picture of our little Max! Michelle said that he just had a haircut and that it was hard to see his beautiful coat go...but now, seeing these pics and knowing how hot it is there...I certanily understand!
ALL of the dogs looked great...you had a nice turnout!
looks like so much fun! Stacy, What doodle sites did you post on to get the romp organized? Someone was trying to organize one here, but it never happened, so I ought to give it a try.
