We recently (about 3 weeks ago) decided that Murphy needed to be crated during the day while we are at work. Previously he had the run of the kitchen, but he started chewing some of the molding around the doors, so we thought he'd be better off in the crate. He is in there for about 4 hours, then I come home for lunch and let him out. He has been house broken for months (he's 8 months now), however, last night my husband pulled out his dog bed from the crate and found it soaked with urine.

I am 99% positive he does not have any medical issues- he has been fine otherwise, playing and peeing outside...could this be because he is mad about being in the crate? Our vet had told us a few months ago (after he peed on our bed) that he was retaliating for being neutered...

By the way, he is crate trained- he used to sleep in the crate at night with no issues...we are so confused! Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I do know for MAX in the very beginning he peed in his crate.

We then made sure only a rubber toy was in there and YES bathed him alot too. to this day we do NOT put in a bed, squeaker toys etc.
USUALLY toss some treats in, put peanutbutter in a kong .

I did use nature's miracle to clean it good. He stopped after about a week or so.

With Jonah, I can't have a blanket in there or he too will pee and push it to one side. He's got the hall and kitchen for the past week. In the past two days he's chewed the rug (decorating critic, i think...didn't match the new tile  ) and today shredded the phone book. That was my fault, he'd chew a coroner from time tio time and I left the temptation there. I would try with no bed inside. The only other time Jonah peed in crate was when I was at work and mom had company. Toooo much excitement, but that was months ago.
