How long does it take for them to turn silver? I noticed his face is turning more silver and losing that light brown coloring. All 4 paws are completely white tipped as well as his chest (looks like he has a tuxedo on :lol: )
I brushed him today and I saw tiny little silver hairs on his back. It looks as if it will take years to turn silver.
On another note, how many times can I bathe him. He has a funky puppy smell my mom aka "Groomer Lady" says that puppies do have a different scent in their puppy coat so the mom can locate them. She said once he "blows" his coat he will smell different. Anyone have this happen?

i know one of max's half sibling looks like velvet and seems to continue silvering still at age 18 mos old. I have heard most it happens within a year but can take up to a full 3 years for a coat/color to develop.

Max is now 8mos old and just 3 weeks ago started to get scattered white hairs hahhahaa if it keeps up he'll have a white spot around one eye
