Hi my name is Sharon and my husband & daughter recently added a beautiful 6 month old (as of today!) labradoodle to our family. Her name is Rosie. I am at work now so I don't have any pictures but once I am home I'll get some up to share.

I was too tired to upload pictures after a long walk with Rosie and homework with my daughter, Kayley. No work tomorrow so I'll have more time to get them up. To tide you over, here is a picture that I snapped with my cell phone on the second day that Rosie was with us. Its not the best image quality but it does show the silly doodle that Rosie is even when sleeping.

Welcome Sharon and Rosie! (My name's Sharon too!) Congrats on your new doodle! We live in the Bay Area as well, so maybe we'll see you at a doodle romp sometime! There's one happening in Davis in April....can't find the link...anyone?

Hahaha, now that I know who miss Rosie is...I am all a-flutter! That cute picture of her with the "belly to the breeze" is so Lexie!
Thanks, Sharon, for posting her pictures and for joining this forum!
Rosie is a sweetheart...
Is it okay if I share with the forum how Rosie selected you? It is such a cute story!
I'll wait to get the okay... :D I might even let you tell the story if you want!

Of course, you can tell the story of how Rosie picked us, Jac! We tell everyone who meets Rosie about how she came to join our family.

I see now how I confused you so you didn't recognize Rosie & I, Jac. I said "as of today" but I meant that she turned 6 months that day, not that we got her that day. That is always my trouble, I write things out so fast that I forget people can't read my mind. :D

Okay, here is the story...I love it!
When I spoke with Sharon and her family, I had in mind a beautiful fleece coated male (because most people wanted fleece...and pretty faces) and this male was a sweetheart...very gentle and loving so I thought he would be great for this family.
Well, When they arrived and I brought the beautiful male out...all he did was bark! He had not done that before...but he would not go near this family and their sweet little girl looked so sad...and I felt horrible!
My husband said, "Go get Runner..." and I immediatly worried because Runner was probably the least attractive of all of our puppies and she had previously been given to a trainer to raise (long story) and I believe that she had been mistreated, when I got her back she was very shy and fearful...she was called Runner because she was a loner and didn't come to us when the others did...but I brought her out, fully expecting for her to cower and hide...
She ran right up to the family...climbed into their laps, started licking and fell madly in love with them...and they fell in love with her! I was shocked, and happy beyond words!
I explained that this pup had a little history...but they didn't hesitate...
Runner jumped into their car and didn't look back!
Runner had chosen this loving family and I think that the male knew it too because the next day the male met another family and he was perfect! In fact, the other family took him and he is very much a part of their family now...so, both of my dear pups found the perfect homes, but little Runner, now known as Rosie, is my true fairy tale ending. I thought she would be hard to place, but it just goes to show that some people see the beauty within...and little Rosie has more of that internal beauty than any dog can possibly show on the outside!
