I am visiting my pup at the breeder once a week and I noticed last time (pups were 5 1/2 weeks old) that a couple of them had really bad, explosive diarhea. My pup's poop was solid but I am wondering if this can be normal at this age or if I should be concerned that the litter may have a bad germ passing around?

Have you talked to your breeder about your concern? I know that it is a constant battle to get firm stools in a puppy, if you think about it, baby's don't have firm stools either. But explosive diarrhea should be getting treated. Puppies can get dehydrated very quickly. Don't hesitate to ask your breeder about this and make sure she has had them to the vet and is being treated. She shouldn't mind your concern at all :)
