there's a lot of lab fees, typically, making sure the female is post-ovulation with blood tests daily or every other day, and then there are vet bills (Paid by dam-owner) for the collection from the male... and then the shipping, if applicable. then there's a vet who receives the "shipment" and inserts the semen into the female and voila! hopefully some babies will come 9 wks later! the error rate or success rate is lower, typically, than natural breeding.
