I micro-chip all my dogs and all my puppies are also micro-chipped before going to their new homes. We do it at 5-6 wks of age. I don't know of any ill effects or side affects due to micro-chipping as long as the proper sanitation is followed. I highly recommend micro-chipping

I heard that the chips they are making now have little "prongs" (not really prongs but something that like takes hold and can't float) to keep them from traveling to other parts of the body. Whether this is true or not, I don't know. I haven't ordered anymore chips since I heard this but plan on asking this question with my next order. Anyone else hear this?
