Currently he goes by Green Collar Male - but when he comes home to us he will be known as Sandy! Get it... Annie & Sandy from the movie Annie.

It wouldn't have been my first choice of a name, but it does really fit. When I was in labor with my daughter (early stages, before I drove to the hospital) I watched my favorite childhood movie over and over - There was a scene when Daddy Warbucks called Annie "Annette" and she quickly corrected him. This is where I got Annie's name from - Annette Grace. So it seems quite fitting that 7 years later Sandy joins us!

Diane says it looks like he might have a wool coat - Those of you with wool coat doodles, what grooming tools do you have on hand?

OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what a beauty

He looks like he may have a coat similar to Tanner. I find that the easiest thing is to go over him first with pin brush, then comb with the Grooma comb I will use the Grooma rake when his coat grows out. Then I run the greyhound comb through him. These can be found on Amazon.com and some Petsmarts...very inexpensive

I use the The Mars Coat King to thin out places that are hard to brush through. Found in US by google search

I have a purple Les Pooches brush but he is still too short to use much.
I got mine on ebay.

I use Ice on Ice coat conditioner (found with google search) but many suggest using Eqyss Premier shampoo and conditioner mixed with Cowboy Magic mixed 1/2 and 1/2 and put into a dry coat. http://www.statelinetack.com/slt/main.jsp

If this sounds like a lot of work..well it is an enjoyable time with your pup , I spend about 10 minutes every other day on Tanner and I lover every minute of it.

He is a beauty...you are in for a wonderful adventure!

she is absoloutely adorable. I'm certainly no expert, but her coat looks wavy to me (fleece?)

What a gorgeous baby! Annie covered all the grooming tools that I use. Her coat will be so easy to take care of for a few months, but use the different tools anyway just to get her used to them. Congratulations!!!!

He's a looker for sure....I LOVE his waves. He was the other pup that stood out to me when I was looking at Di's site... Are you counting the weeks???

I'll be bringing home Sandy's littermate, currently going by the name of Navy Collar Male, and I can't wait either!! We're going to name him Dex (Dexter - apologies to dextersmommy here on the forum!! My husband picked the name, I swear!! - But he looks like a Dex to me too...)

Lynn - I LOVE the name Dexter! He LOOKS like a Dexter! I'm having a problem with the feminine sounding SANDY but the movie is very dear to me so I'll get used to it!

I personally know about 4 guys called Sandy. One of them is short for Sidney. Why he isn't called Sid is beyond me, but I just call like I know them.
