Hershey is almost 5 months old. In the last 3 days we have collected about a dozen or more puppy teeth from the floor.

In your experience, do doodles start losing their teeth all at once like that?

I don't know about dogs

, but thats how my daughter lost them! Not dozens though :lol: ... just 8 in 5 weeks. You can still barely see teeth when she smiles :shock: :lol:

Somehow in the last month (from 5 to 6) Bailey lost all her puppy teeth and has all her adulty ones in. And I'm guessing she swallowed most of the puppy ones because I haven't found a single one.

YES one day i found one...then all of a sudden it seems like he lost MOST of his baby teeth in under 2 weeks. totally normal unless you're letting him chew concrete bones :wink:

It's just that she has this big toothless grin now... Poor thing!

Anyway, I'm freezing a wet towel right now for her to chew on to see if that brings some relief.

Awwwww....I'd love to see a photo of that. Do you think she'd mind?? Sweet thing.....

I'm not kidding you... she has nothing left but gums.
She's like a little old lady!

Her adult molars are have come in in the very back, and your can
see the canines coming up in the front, but other than that she is
having to gum everything.

One positive is that when she gets mouthy, she doesn't leave any
marks or scratches... just traces of blood (not pleasant).

She never has chewed her dry dog food anyway -- she just swallows
it... has done that since a puppy, so it hasn't stopped her from eating.

Anyway, this phase looks like it will pass very soon at this rate.

Bryan, that is funny...I wish you had a picture!
As everyone has said, yes...it is common...although I must admit that in our dogs the adult teet appear immediately and I don't recall toothless grins! LOL
You might want to ask your breeder, see what advice he/she can offer.
In the meantime, I like the frozen washcloth idea...and now be prepared for chewing! They need to "set" their permanent teeth and really have an almost irristable urge to chew on everything when those new teeth come in.

You asked for it... it was a blurry shot, but it is hard to get her to sit
still and grin real big.

This was right when her front teeth were falling out.
