Dexter used to jump up on everyone including us. He is now 10 months old and pretty much never jumps up on me or my husband. He's about 60% good at not jumping on others. The problem is he gets SO excited when he sees someone new. We try to get him to settle, but it doesn't work much of the time. Once he gets used to someone, he is good about not jumping. I think what you are doing (ignoring him) and to not give him attention when he jumps is very good advice. I think it is something that takes time.

Our 7 month old Labradoodle, Magic still jumps up on us as well as people who come to the house. does anyone have suggestions? we've tried a lot of things, and are now just ignoring Magic until he stops. I don't know how well it will work in the long run.
