We were in the back yard this morning and I was on the phone with my cousin. For a 1/2 hour a squirrel was in my neighbors yard teasing the kids. He'd come up to the fence, chatter and run away. He kept getting closer and closer. Then he stuck his head under the fence, Jonah lept, and the squirrel ran up the fence and was running along the top. He fell, scrambled to run through the inner part of the fence, only to have Jonah catch him by the tail. I yelled "DROP IT" as he starts to shake it, the squirrel pulls loose, goes under the fence and up the tree. I go over to check on him and notice he has very little hair on his not so long tail now. He then spent the next 20 minutes chattering up a storm....I'm sure he was cursing!! :shock: I don't believe Mr. Squirrel is going to cross paths with big game hunter Jonah anytime soon! After all this there was another squirrel...maybe his wife...chattering up a storm at the now short tailed squirrel probably telling him what an idiot he is!! Ah yes, another peaceful doodle moment brought to you by Jonah and Miko....hunters extraordinarie !! :lol: :lol: Yes, Miko was very jealous! :wink:

WOWWWWWWWW in your mouth??? I am droooooling thinking of that.
So far they wont come down to tease me, they stay in that tree and drop things on me, but I am taking notes from you and someday I too will taste squirrel. Going back to the tree now to continue my watch.

Squirrel? Did someone say Squirrel???? I love chasing squirrels!! My friend, Sarah, is really good at chasing the squirrels from tree top to tree top, follows them right out of the yard. They don't come down close enough to taste. I get good smells once in a while though!

Lexi tries and tries, but to her dismay, she has not been successful as yet (although there was an unexplained bird injury-but she claims it was the neighborhood cats that come by). I don 't know about that one.
Anyway Jonah, it looks like you are quick, and did a good job of listening to daddy when he said drop it- I doubt Lexi would do the same, and pray she does not get better at hunting any time soon.

Wow-eee Jonah.....you sure must be one fast Doodle to catch that aggravating squirrel!!!!! But I'm glad he didn't turn around and BITE you!!!!! :shock: That would have been just awful!!! :?

I love chasing squirrels.. once i had save a Japanese Dwarf Flying Squirrel.
