I know there have been alot of posts about dogs eating/chewing/destroying things. Today Charlie routed through my Christmas trash for something. I thought it was paper and plastic and wondered what could be so interesting. It turns out he was after a package of "SILICA GEL DO NOT EAT". Why, oh why is that so tempting?

Luckily, there's no real evidence that it is toxic in small quantities so I think we are OK. If only he could read, he would certainly have avoided ingesting the stuff, right?

Oh, Deb, I hate that they even put those in dog treats! Sheesh...what do they expect? It is bound to smell like the treat...
My puppies are weaned on that stuff though...they always learn, at a very early age, that it is great fun to shred and eat potty pads! UGH!
