I've been thinking about Mary (AKA Foodlady)- you snowed under yet?

Everyone else OK with all the snow east & bad storms in FL?

And who in Arkansas asked for snow?? Get any?

We had a surprise 2 inches of snow yesterday, but nothing like what's going on "back home". My Mom had an ice storm on Wed, then is being dumped on with blizzard warnings this weekend. What a mess!

I'm thinking about all of you! Be careful out there!

The thought of spring warms me some. But it is tough, this morning when I took Marley out is was 3 dergrees below zero!!!! Hello!!!! My calender says March. Its not supposed to be this damn cold in March. We still have a ton of snow still on the ground, but next week we have 30's and 40's coming, after a little snow tomorrow. I look forward to temps rising and snow levels going down.

You said a mouthful Linda...our yard is starting to look like Gene's...we have to take the doodles to Petsmart for an outing today because there is 0 chance they will be running around our yard anytime soon.

We got 6 1/2" inches yesterday! We had to close the store because of traffic jams, accidents, semis stuck on hills. The road crews couldn't do their jobs because of the traffic. It was slow going on the way home at 6:30. It usually takes me 8 minutes or less......35minutes yesterday!!

This morning I was awaken by hail and rain. Slow drive to work, and when I left I had 1/4" of ice covering 3/4s of m,y car!! I got stuck in my driveway for a little bit when I got home. Started to shovel and there's a inck of ice over 5" of snow, I'm too old for that crap, so I'll do it in stages.

It's supposed to start snowing again soon with 6-8 more inches!! The roads are still horrible, but I'm off the next 5 days......just need to get out to the store (not today) for food. I may be dining with the kids on kibble......

YIKES!! Sorry for the novel....you can all wake up now and continue on with your regularly scheduled programming!!

Becky...i think gene prefers bully sticks over kibble   8) 8) 8)

We had 6" of snow yesterday and today we had freezing rain so the roads are very slippery and some snow drifting here and there so it looks like more snow fell than 6"

hot chocolate and baked pretzels along with chip and dip

I'm just a few hours north of Greg. We had -9 overnight and a high of 19 today. As he said, it's MARCH give us a break! I for one am very tired of this extreme cold... and have at least knee deep snow all over my yard with more predicted.

It's been in the fifties most of this week, but it's turning colder for Sunday. We've had high winds and pelting rain off and on the last few days. Wednesday morning the electricity went off at 2:45. Thank heavens we recently acquired a generator. It's loud but we have lights and water now. We heat with a wood stove and our kitchen stove is gas, so we stay warm and can cook, but we have a well and without electricity the pump doesn't work, so toilets become a problem. This time the power came back on at 7 a.m. so it wasn't a big deal, but where we live it can stay off for most of a day or two when it goes. We have friends who got a generator after being without power for five days. The electric company thought they'd gotten to them already!

Our soil is so sandy that we don't get mud, but Chouette loves to frolic in the puddles in the roadway when we go for our walks.

At least signs of spring are appearing. Crocuses are up and my miniature daffodils are about to bloom. Pussy willows have been out for a few weeks now, and the yard is greening up, slowly but surely.

We had some light rain showers this AM...expecting more off and on for a week. Hundreds of inches of snow still in the mountains..just where we want it to stay.

Our yard is muddy mucky mess. Nothing starting to grow for a few more weeks.

Sounds like you easterners got the bad weather this time...Stay safe and warm

Leslie - I hear you about the wind...OMG it is horrible! We went to a birthday party and on our way home we had to detour several times around downed trees  All of a sudden I got so worried about our boys, but everything is fine in our neighborhood.

It was 65 when we left home (at 4:30 pm)...now it's 40 (5 hrs later) and is going to drop into the teens o/n...crazy March weather.

Happy digging Gene  That's a whole lot of snow!!
