Hi Debra, welcome and congratulations!
I agree with Diane, sometimes people are very prejudicial against Labradoodles...and you don't want/need that!
A vet should be willing to meet with you and answer your questions (without charging you) before you commit to use the vet's services.
Like most medical relationships in your life, you will rely on this person for some of the most important and frightening you want someone you can trust and feel comfortable with. You want someone who will be gentle with your dog and understanding of your fears.
You also want friendly office staff because you will be dealing with them a lot!
