have never given AB pumpkin so can't help on that one.

"gramma" made and mailed cookies to AB last week made with oats, wheat flour, appplesauce, cloves and cinnamon - she loves them

How many cookies did the recipe make? I would say about 1/10 of the recipe would be plenty in a day.

Good news...walked Tanner last night and this AM....actually was able to pick up the poop...rather than leaving big brown smear...sorry for visual.

I have learned my lesson - No matter how much Tanner scratches on his food closet, the max his system can take is 1.5 Cups in AM and 1.5 Cups in PM. At our house, overfeeding is the main cause for his runny poops

Gene, it was the rosey nose that got me too

We are learning this with Kirby too. He is just so active and his metabolism is sky high...he was 46 lbs when we got him and he's more like 42-43 now. We feed him 2 cups in the am and 2 in the pm. I tried to give him more like 2.5 at each meal and his system got messed up too.

Dexter totally gets us w/that nose too...I think he knows I'm weak when I see the pink nose :)

The You tube video was awful. How can people let their "children" get so unhealthy. They are shortening their lives. :(

Pre-heat oven to 350.

Ingredients:
3.5 cups of oats
1.5 cups of pumpkin
1/4 cup of applesause (plain)
1 tsp. of vanilla extract

Combine all ingredients. Roll into small balls and place on cookie sheet. Lightly press each ball with a fork. Bake 15 minutes. Let cool and enjoy

So... did anyone taste these? Are they good for human consumption?

It strikes me as funny that the recipe includes vanilla. I wonder if dogs appreciate the extra flavoring. ;)
