Hey Y'all,

I was just on ebay searching under "labradoodle" for some fun stuff and there was a woman on there auctioning off her labradoodle! I reported it to ebay but geeze, what a knucklehead!

http://cgi.ebay.com/LABRADOODLE-FEMALE- ... dZViewItem

Hope you are all well. I have been MIA due to school. I think I managed to get As in both of my courses - organic chem and physics! So happy to be done for a month.

Hi Kim,

Congrats on starting the R.N. program! That must be exciting. I think it will be very rewarding for you both financially and emotionally! I'll be thinking about you when my classes start up again in Jan.

Thanks for the congrats! This is my first full day OFF from school and I am LOVING it! I don't know if I have told the board but I am attempting to go to medical school and become a pathologist (I decided this at 30!). I already have a BS and have all but one medical school requirement done and so I am just going back to school now to refresh my knowledge for the MCAT which I plan to take in August and take that one required course that I'm missing.

As far as that poor doggie in the Bronx, I too hope she gets a new home for Christmas!

Good for you Stacy! That's exciting, too. And it's never too late to go back to school! I'm 48! There was a lady at my church who worked full-time as an R.N. until she was 80 years old! She has now passed away but she was well-loved.

Congrats STacy, I wondered where you'd been. Glad you have a little time off now to enjoy the holidays and Coal.

Good job on reporting the lady auctioning off her Labradoodle, poor Doodle :( Makes me sad

Aww, I feel very loved on this board LOL. I am sorry that I didn't post after our doodle romp (which was AWESOME BTW).

Maureen, yes, I did meet Abby and Riley and they are both gorgeous. Jacque, I met Harold, his wife and Gracey who is lovely as well! We had 17 doodles this time and it was pretty amazing. It is almost overwhelming to have that many owners there because since I organized it, I tried to talk to everyone! Before I knew it, a couple of hours had gone by and I only had two (not so terrific) pics and people were paking up to leave. Doodle romps are AMAZING in that the personalities of these dogs are so wonderful that there is never fighting, never worry about kids being around (unless the kid is small and a pack of excited doodles come running by LOL). 17 dogs happily at play was a very cool sight. I think Harold enjoyed it and most people showed interest in coming to another after the holidays.

Linda, Coal and Frenchy are doing just great. They are both really "growing up" now and are not into nearly as much mischief lately! They are both so quirky and it is adorable. Frenchy thinks she is a lap dog (at about 55lbs) and if you sit on the floor, she will get right into you lap! She also does this funny thing where she carries around a towel. It is like a security blanket to her. Mom has a pool and so there is a place under a counter on the back patio where she keeps the beach towels. Well, Frenchy just helps herself to a new towel whenever she wants which is so funny! Frenchy will be moving in March or April (with my family of course). Mom and stepdad are moving about 15 minutes away which I will love! They are about an hour away now. Coal will get so see a lot more of his sister with them living so close. Coal, well, he's a love. He gets into his trouble but what a sweet, good natured, doofy (meant in a kind way) dog. He still likes to dig and so Greg built him an enclosure along one whole side of the house so he could go outside unsupervised. Well wouldn't you know that he figures how to get out of that enclosure no matter how tightly we latch it. He is like Houdini! We get our tree today and I hope Coal doesn't eat it!! He's great, we love him. To the kids (especially the 3 1/2 year old) Coal is a best friend. They almost argue sometimes about whether he should come into Taylor's room or stay with Aidan.

Anyway, this is getting long. I have missed you all tremendously and I hope to be checking in a lot while I don't have classes to worry about. Take care!

Stacy, how wonderful to read about the romp and about Coal and Frenchie...we've missed you!
I do believe that Paul was there with Gracey's brother, Jack...at least they said that they were there...I believe that Harold said that they were too...but I could be mistaken. Anyway, isn't it fun that you get to meet OUR dogs! Cool!

OH MY GOSH Maureen, TJ (I think that's his name) is gorgeous and has the softest coat ever! Yes, you need to ask Mary Ann for pics of him!

I'm sorry I didn't get pics. Jacque, yes, I do remember meeting 2 of your pups. I spoke to Harold for a while so I remember he and Gracey better. So cute!! It is wonderful to meet YOUR doggies! It just makes me say, Keep up the good work Jac and Maureen!!

Happy winter break to the Board's returning students, Stacey and Kim! A few years ago I too was a returning student--going to law school, and raising two kids on my own. It was a hard decision at first, because I had to finish up undergrad credits which meant five years of full time school. At first this seemed to be an overwhelmingly long time, but then I figured, I was going to be 40 anyway, so I might as well be a lawyer when I got there. I had to do a lot of multi-tasking--such as studying while watching Little League games, or in the midst of elementary school roller skating night, and I had to give up on some of the housekeeping, but it was all worth it. When I was done, I had a hard time at first learning how to fall asleep without a book on top of me!! Anyway, I have never regretted my decision, (except maybe when I pay that student loan) and I am sure it will all be worth it for both of you. Enjoy your time off :D
