And she was the runt??!! Dakota was 12 1/4 pounds at eight weeks and he is now 77 pounds and growing! OK, here is a suggestion--Dakota was also a climbing monkey and we looked at "lids" for the x-pens--goodness about $80.00. My husband wound up buying a piece of peg board and cutting it to fit. We strapped it on with "industrial" tie downs (Home Depot or Lowes). Cost--about $10.00. Works great--no more climbing monkey!

Last night DAVE managed to rig one 1/2 on top of other...attached them with special industrial ties from his job and wahhlaa a 4.5ft tall pen for now :D
She can't climb out and Max can't push it either.

uhhh i am wondering now if a 16llb 9wk old really is a PEANUT?? hahhaha
Well she is the COLOR of one at least hahhaaa

Dave said if i didn't have apicture he wouldn't have believed me!

We had Beagles that could climb a 6 foot fence that had been bent like a prison on top (you know how the fence goes in and they have razor wire on top?). No razor wire, but the Beagles would climb out of that. We also had a German Shepherd that could climb a 4 foot gate. Be careful that Peanut doesn't try to climb out and hurt herself.

Max, I knew you were innocent the whole time

Peanut, you are quite the character. I bet you will keep Max on his toes, not to mention Annmarie :D :D

How very true :) Those eyes just rip your heart apart when you have to get on them for anything :( You'd think they just lost their best friend.

This morning, I finally realized why the pics of your monkey climbing baby doodle intrigued me. My son used to do EXACTLY THE SAME THING! When he was a baby he would climb onto the rail of his baby bed, get to the top, then let go - the result was a tumble onto the floor - but, at least he was free. LOL No brain damage or broken bones ever occurred, but I did worry. (He's a Sgt in the Army & I know all that early escape training will help him evade overeager MPs!) Your new little girl is one smart pup - at least as smart as an Army Sgt! I suspect your hands are going to be very, very full. . .

know what eetubs? i think YOU"RE RIGHT!! hahaha actually we already have our hands full!!! she scares me some days as she has a good amount of intelligence...sooooo the trick is to properly TRAIN HER and outsmart her too. I always find myself trying to think ahead like we did with our kids hahahahaa going OK..if i do this what can she do or get in too etc

It's funny waht you said about the army...we have been making jokes Peanut will grow up to be Max's drill sargeant!! hahahahaa
HEY mabye she'll be good with agility training in the future? whereas Max would be better off as a therapy dog hahahhahaa

Peanut reminds me of my daughter when she was young and one son...they could climb out of anything! got into everything! and took some time to raise correctly hahhahhahaa

as i say if this house of mine were on a tv sitcom i'd call it:

NEVER a DULL MOMENT

Annemarie-

You're pictures are too cute. Peanut is sure to keep you on your toes.

Now I don't mean to call you a liar or anything, so don't take this the wrong way- but if you think you're not going to fall for the "doodle eyes a second time" you're just kidding yourself. No human can resist the "doodle eyes"

If you're looking for someone to blame for your 2nd doodle-don't look at me-I told you to attend the 12 step meetings-but you were weak- and fell off the wagon.

Now you must face the ugly fate of beig the recepient of double the love!!

ENJOY!

eh hmmmmmmmm maddie? now don't take offense BUT
I DEVELOPED the 12 doodle step...just ask any member here!!! :D ahhahahhahaaaaa

Sooo as being an official Doodleaholic member trying to follow the 12 steps I just realized the eyes....well i have to look away of course to avoid the pitiful sweet innocent "not me mom" look to stay stern!!

my ugly fate is cooking chicken pork rice sweet potatoes, regular potatoes, pumpkin yougurt beef ...then add fish oil and papaya! And YES MAX'S eyes ohhhh i fall for it all the time.
Peanut however is doodle demon hahahhaaaa and if the rest of the household falls for the eyes  someone has to be strong!!!
