I am attempting to make some liver treats. I found a recipe that is very simple, parboil liver, cut into 1" cubes, sprinkle garlic and bake in the oven at 250 for 1h. Sounds simple. I am trying this mainly because I have 2 whole beef livers in the freezer. My uncle is a farmer and he kept some of the organs from their last butcher and gave them to us for the doodles. I'll let you know how they turn out.

let me know how it comes out........every once in a great while i cook up a tiny bit of liver and my doodles LOVE IT

They seem to love it. I had a few pieces too big so they were still soft, but the majority were pretty dry, which is better for keeping in your pocket. After i gave them a fresh warm one i left them on the stove to cool, and they sat in the kitchen waiting for another one.
