I went up to Sacramento on Monday to look at a horse who was being sold by a veterinarian. They raise labs, too, so I told her I had a labradoodle. She wasn't impressed in the least and we ended up having a conversation about them. She couldn't understand why people would pay money for a "mix". Then I explained how the Aussies have been breeding them for 30 years and they are getting a pretty consistent standard and how there are responsible breeders here in the states that are doing testing on their parents and there is a "science" to their breeding. I explained the different generations of F1, F2, F1B, Australian, etc. (I'm certainly not an expert, but, explained it the best I could). Hopefully, she is a little more open minded towards them now. :?
