I was at Petco today looking for something for Bailey to play with. She likes to chase stuffed animals, but doesn't do much other than fetch (and kill shake them) and she hates hard rubber toys.

I found a "plush" toy made out of a fire hose, and she LOVES it. The material is really sturdy, I think it would be tough to cut with a knife, but it has a nice "give" to it - much more resistance than a plush toy, but more chewiness or softness than rubber. I think it's a nice change of pace for her teeth when she gets tired of chewing on Bully Sticks. It comes in a few different sizes. I got a small.

Here is the description:

" Made from real fire hose material. Consists of an outer woven nylon material, wrapped around a tough rubber inner core. Fun yet, tough, soft, yet durable and they float. Has a squeaker inside."

David...we have the same one for Max it took him ages to rip it We have the large one hahhhaa He loves it and it took him 2.5mos to start to destroy it.

I LOVE her expression in the 2nd picture: Don't even think of trying to take this one dad!

Max's TRUE chewing ability didn't truly develop till 5mos old which is when we really had to keep a close eye on him. He lost his baby teeth early or let's say in his 4th and 5th month.

We have a toy box NOW the question is: Can we train Max to put one toy away first before getting another one out?

My family laughs at all the chew and squeaky toys laying around all the time---looks like we have a 3yr old child.

by jobe I think we've got it!!!
I have found that by having an overabundance of toys Max takes longer to do the DARTH DOODLE VADER/Destroyer act

And I don't mind tripping over the toys either

David, Jonah the destroyer had one. I believe it lasted 2 weeks. Of course this was with adult teeth, unlike Bailey's adorable puppy teeth!
Yeah, she's only about 8 pounds and has really tiny teeth. I think it's going to last her quite some time.
