My DH is checking out the 55+ retirement community that we are interested in. My reluctance from the start was whether they would allow 2 dogs (doodles size) or if there are size restrictions.

He called me today from South Carolina and said he was standing in the dog park in the community and was watching the most beautiful doodle running around. You can have 2 dogs and 2 cats no size restrictions. He said the dog park is beautiful....I am so happy..this means that in a year and a half Tanner can get a brother or a sister :p :p

I am glad you understand, only doodle owners would know how important this is to me.

I am sure my family will think I have gone round the bend but who better to spend retirement years than with 2 doodles

Hurray!! That is wonderful !!
Can you not get the second doodle now?? And have a year and a half to
train the pup before you get there?
Either way, I am excited for you!

That saying,
I have gone round the bend
is so funny....had forgotten that one.
I think, on somedays, I have gone long past the bend.

Jane, I would love to get another doodle now but we are trying to sell our house which means we have had to repair damage from previous dogs...you know..new carpet, paint woodwork, polish wood floors. I think it would be too much to try and deal with a puppy too
