·Maya has not been able to tolerate the Canidae she has been eating. In the last two weeks her stools have gotten very soft and increased in quantitiy. I had her boarded at the vet since I had to go out of town on business last week. The vet said she didn't like the volume or consistancy so I should change food. After consulting the posts here I decided to give Blue Buffalo a try. One there is no corn in it and two it is the only other food I can get in my area with no corn. She is on the chicken and rice formula since the breeder fed her a chicken and rice formula prior to me getting her. ( I can't get the breeder's brand of food here either). Her stools are still runny but I just switched on Friday night. I didn't do the slow switch cause she picked her new food out so I figured it was best to give her food than let her starve. Two questions:
1. How long should I wait to see if this new food makes a difference?
2. The last post on the runs said to put yogart in the food....How much yogart and how often?
Thank you for any help you can give.
PS I have also stopped all treats. Training takes place with her new food pieces as reward.
