Now you are kind of breeder that melts my heart and if you lived closerTink said:Thanks all. Right now I'm very busy trying to introduce the pups to all sorts of new experiences. Lucky for me they still fit in the sink so I was able to use a sprayer to rinse them off and most did very well for their baths today.
Our cat is absolutely a sweetheart when it comes to the puppies, so they're also getting used to him with supervision. I want them to know before they leave here that cats don't need to be chased, water doesn't need to be feared, and people really are great friends to have. I am also bringing their mama in separately each day to give her time away from them and bring in pups just to play with so they aren't all stressed out when they do leave the litter.
Having raised dogs before and kept a few that were born from my own dogs, I know what a major difference it makes in them being ready to bond and cooperate with you to have adressed all this stuff early.
