I have finally posted a few pictures of Sadie on Shutterfly. We got her Dec 10th. She is a little over 2 months now, born Oct 22nd. She is a joy to have around, lots of fun.

You will have to copy and paste the address into your browser. Enjoy!

Thanks, Stacey. We think so too. I have seen Coal's pics and he (she?) is also very cute.

How are you making out with Coal's house training? Sadie is still having "accidents" but I guess it's our fault for not letting her out often enough. She also "goes" when we let her out, but sometimes she will go in the house too. I guess I just have to be patient, but I hear about other pups being housetrained so fast. I thought about the bell on the door, but I think I would end up getting all of the paint scratched off the door.

Any tricks from experienced doodle owners welcome!

Well house training is going along ok I suppose. Coal is pretty good about not having accidents but I must tell you that he has NO free house roaming rights yet. I have him in an exercise pen in the kitchen (on the vinyl floor) at any time that I am not watching him during the day. Then, we spend a lot of time in the backyard but he has touched very little carpet thus far and I think I am going to let that be an earned thing once I think he understands the whole potty outside thing. I don't think we can expect them to have it down until at least 4 months of age! I have a 2 1/2 year old and he is potty training and if I am not cleaning up a puppy accident, I am cleaning up a toddler accident! FUN FUN! Too bad I can't keep my toddler in an exercise pen in the kitchen (just kiddin') LOL! Some moments feel overwhelming as we have all been sick with colds since we got Coal but it will all pass and Coal will be a great, well mannered family member soon!

Sadie is adorable! She is so photogenic. Gunner was born on Oct. 24. He is black and very hard to photograph. I haven't been able to post any pictures yet. They are too big! One day I'll get around to figuring that out.

How big is Sadie and Coal? I am so anxious to see how big this guy will be. He is 15 pounds at 9 weeks.

Take care,

Well, Coal goes for a recheck at the vet today. I think he is about 9 lbs but I will post after the appointment. He is definitely no where near 15! Gunner is gonna be a big boy!

Sadie is an F1b labradoodle. She was 12 pounds when I took her to the vet last week at 9 weeks old. She is growing very quickly though.

I could not figure out how to post my pictures on this site, which is why I put them on shutterfly. When I tried to upload, I was told the files were too large. Some people have posted them right in the forum, which is perfect, but I was not able to do that. I have tons more pictures, so if you are interested I will put more on.

Gunner, Coal and Sadie are all the same age. Let's keep in touch with their progress. Would love to see some pictures of Gunner once you get that figured out.

Happy New Year to all!

Ok guys, Coal just got back from the vet and he weighs 10.8 lbs. Wow! How do they grow so quickly? When I got him not even 2 weeks ago he was just a little over 7 lbs! He is still the smallest then of Sadie, Gunner and himself. Yes ladies, we should keep in touch and maybe help one another out in getting these pups all grown up right!!

It should too be fun to hear about their progress or lack of progress.

Stacey, do you stay home with your 2 1/2 year old? It is a lot of work having a toddler and a puppy. I feel like I am constantly protecting my 2 year old from Gunner. I actually considered potty training my son and Gunner at the same time. That was before we brought Gunner home. Thank Goodness I didn't!

Talk to you all soon!

Yes Amanda, I think I qualify as a stay at home mom. I work out of the house one day a week (usually Saturday). My son is a lot to deal with on his own and now with a puppy! It is almost like having another baby. Where do you live? We seem to have a lot in common! I don't know if you can tell but Coal has a tiny white patch on his chest too. It is nothing more than a collection of a few hairs. Yes, it will be fun to watch these "doods" grow up!

Hi Jannie and Stacy, Did you two sleep well last night?

Gunner got up at 7:00 am. If it is not him getting up early, it is my 5 year old. Having a puppy is very similar to having a baby. In some ways, I think it is harder...at least the baby you transition into. With a puppy it really is a package deal...sleepless nights, discipline, potty training, bonding/attachment and socializing. There are so many needs to focus on, it makes me weary to think about it all!

Jannie, Do you have children?

Stacy, now that you mention it...I do recall that Coal has white on his chest. Gunner has a white patch on his chest and his chin. I wonder if anything will come of it? I had a beloved toy poodle, Eybe, who was solid black who turned silver. I don't think Gunner will turn silver, but I wonder if those white hairs will remain or disappear as he ages. I can't wait to see how his coat turns out. I think that is part of the fun.

We live in Central Texas. We will NEVER have adorable snowy pictures! We have been wearing shorts the past couple of days. I wish the weather would turn cooler, so my son wouldn't be hot. I have been putting sweats on him for puppy protection. Those little teeth are so sharp. They have already punctured many shirts and pants. Oh well, what do you do?

Hi Amanda
Yes, I have 4 kids, but the youngest is now 11. I find Sadie is the most aggressive with him when it comes to rough play. She will bite at his pant legs and try to jump on him more so than anyone else in the family. Funny because at 11 he is a big boy.

I do feel for the two of you with little ones. I remember that as an exhausting time, but also wonderful. And it goes by so fast - so enjoy, and take lots of pictures!

So Sadie is the only "baby" in my house - but she can be a handful, that's for sure. She sleeps pretty well at night, but it's hard to keep her awake in the evenings. She usually falls asleep around 9, so is up at 6 or 7. Too early for me - especially now when I'm on holidays! My husband and I usually take turns getting up with her - just like we did with babies. So I really can't complain too much.
