I agree with Linda - I wouldn't give in and let her out again. They learn things so quickly (i.e. if I cry, they will play with me). Can you put a toy or treat in the crate with her when you put her back in (at 4 am)? I would keep working at trying to get her stay up a bit later in the evening...maybe a nap around 6 or 7 pm so that she will be awake later on?
Early morning waking HELP!
Sadie CAN sleep all night long...she was doing it at the breeders and she did it her first night home. She's only been with us for three nights but last night and the night before, she got up to pee at 4 a.m.
No problem IF she'd go back in her crate and sleep but she whines continually and just wants to be up and playing. When will this end?? She gets sleepy early in the night, at about 7-7:30 and we'd love to keep her awake but it's impossible so we just let her sleep and take her out at about 10 p.m., put her in her crate for the night but then we have a 3 month old puppy who wants to get up a 4 a.m.
ANY suggestions are greatly welcomed! Maybe we need to make sure she naps more during the day??
