I have belonged to a number of forums on and off over the years. I have made some great friends as a result. I thought it would be fun to learn a little bit more about each other. So I am posing a question to everyone. Do you have your dream job? I understand people like privacy so you don't need to name your occupation. If you aren't doing your dream career, what is it?
I don't have my dream job but I am helping my husband work toward his. In '09 he was laid off. He started his own public speaking group in hopes of making a living at it. He ended up getting a new job but still works at his public speaking in his spare time. I am his scheduler, secretary, proof-reader and sounding board. I get to work in my pajamas everyday so it can't be all that bad. I also do volunteer work within my community with several different organizations and through the school district.
Though the years my dream job has changed. Currently, I just started writing a book of family stories in my spare time. I come from an incredibly small family and many members have died young so I thought it was important to record these for future generations. I would also like to write a book of short comedic true stories, that happen to be from my everyday life. I had quite a wealth of stories (has your neighbor ever asked you to freeze her cat?) before we got Shadow. I have a feeling my material is going to grow exponentially. I don't expect to make a living at this. I'm doing it for my own happiness.
